KEKE BONS: Highest Grade Muzically

Take yourself on a musical journey…

Within her four-foot-eleven petite frame lays an aggressively passionate musical instrument about to be unveiled. Keke Bons is a bundle of surprising contradictions wrapped in a coolly confident demeanor.

She hails from the cool lush hills of Ocho Rios, Jamaica and recalls her childhood days spent browsing through Irie FM studios recording poetry with radio personality Pat Clarke and Darien Henry or hanging with the big guys at Roof International Recording Studios, main Street Ocho Rios. With Kariang Recording Studio just next door her home she spent many after schools and weekends hanging and interacting with Garnet Silk and other recording artists at the Kariang Recording Studio. Still in high school she decided to wait and learn more about the world of dancehall music.

Keke Bons aspired to be an avid reader of history, politics, world affairs and religion. She is a former High School History teacher, Jamaica Youth Ambassador for Positive Living, Child's Right's Activist, HIV/AIDS Activist and maintains a very active involvement in Global HIV/AIDS issues and trends. She has headed Jamaican delegation in Mexico, Canada, USA, England, and the Caribbean. She completed her Bachelors of Education at the University of the West Indies, Mona where she also completed Jamaican Dancehall/reggae studies courses taught by Dancehall DJ and Professor, Kingsley Stewart a.k.a. Ragga Shanti. Ragga Shanti gave her much encouragement and motivation to be successful at combining music with academics. Keke Bons is now pursuing her Masters of Science in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology at Nova Southeastern University, Florida.

With all that she is involved with, she insists on pursuing her life long passion in the entertainment Industry. Jamaican Dancehall music forms the core of Keke's life! Over the years she has done many gigs locally and now wishes to take it higher, make it bigger, and continue her positive upward trend.doing music. Having gained much inspiration from the very encouraging acts such as Blacker, Ginja, Ninja Man, Maccallee King she is geared up and fully armoured to take on greater roles within the international dancehall space. Keke accredits her success academically and otherwise to her late Grandmother Mama Mavis Laing who taught her to read though she herself was illiterate. Even today they share a mystical bound.

Keke Bons is a prolific lyricist, with magnificent stage presence. She combines intellect with a carefree sense of delight making her a prime entertainer.

Keke have had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of reggae's greatest producers, radio jockeys, beat makers and studio engineers. Such as Sean Hunter (Gainesville, fl) Big Chriss of MoodSwing Records ( Los Angeles), Macallee King ( Miami), Klack Shepard (Gainesville, fl), Richard Roache of Digital One Enterprise, T Nice ( Miami), DJ Stunna of Must Rich Records, Jamaica and counting.miles ahead to go.but she sees no stop signs now. Forming the core of her faith and talent is her Uncle Richie Effs producer of Shottas the movie. He is certainly her biggest fan and heroe! Keke Bons is one rare find indeed; the world is in for a rare treat when she hits the screen!
