I'm 21 years old and my name is Kayla Calabrese

I live in Pine Beach, New Jersey. It's a small town (0.6 square miles to be exact) and I love it.

I'm a simple person, slow to trust, but once I get to know you I can completely be myself. I love being around people and I'm usually always laughing or smiling, it sometimes gets me in trouble because I'll laugh or smile at inappropriate moments. It's impossible for me to cry in front of anyone. I have no idea why.

If you couldn't already tell my ultimate goal in life is to become a famous country music singer.

I've only been singing for about 4 years, but I always dreamed of singing in front of an audience. yes, I was a "hair brush" singer behind my closed bedroom door. The day I saw 'Wicked' on broadway I turned to my mom and told her I wanted voice lessons, she took me about a week later and I haven't looked back since.

I'm a very driven and determined person. If I decide I want to do something completely new, I go for it with out hesitation. I taught myself how to play the guitar, drums, and mandolin. I decided not too long ago I wanted to try gymnastics it quickly became a passion of mine.

I love doing challenging things, even if I know I won't be able to do something I'll try it anyway.

I have a list of things to do before I die and I will get them done no matter what. Some things include, sky diving, going to italy, horseback riding on the beach, go on a horse and buggy ride around central park during Christmas time while its snowing, go ice skating on Rockaefellar Plaza while the tree is light, those are just a few that are on the list!

My life isn't too complicated, just extemely busy. I am a full time college student studying to be a nurse. that way if this music thing doesn't work out I have something to fall back on. Nothing is set in stone, especially in the music business, so I think it's important to continue my education.

I love to bake, cook and scrapbook. Some say I'll make a good wife?

I'm a very organized person, if I wasn't I wouldn't be able to function from day to day; take a look at my planner and you'll see why.

My room is usually always a mess, i can't help but throw clothes on the floor

If I'm driving, I'm singing. All the time.

I love the peace sign.

I love my Jeep Liberty and find it impossible to drive with both hands, unless im driving over a bridge.

'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days' is my favorite movie of all time. Whether I'm watching it or quoting it I laugh so hard I cry. every time, it never fails. Twilight is a close second I absolutely love that movie and all of the Twilight Saga books. they're amazing. I recently saw Green Street Hooligans and it is probably one of the best "manly" movies I've ever seen. it's intense.

My idol is Martina McBride. If I ever got the chance to meet her or sing with her, I would probably die.

Jillian Michaels is my fitness idol. I love working out, so why not?

I owe my parents, family and friends everything for believing in me and supporting me when things got tough or I needed encouragement. I don't think I could ever repay them for everything they have done. I may not say it all the time but I truly appreciate everything they have done for me. I definitely would not be where I am today with out them. :-)

I recently got my first tattoo! It's on my left wrist. It says "Believe" with music notes around it. I love it and it stands for everything I, well. believe in. I have a constant reminder that if you believe it can happen and you want it bad enough, you will do what ever it takes to make your dream a reality.

That's all for now.

Thanks to anyone who actually took the time to read this whole thing. :-) Let me know what you think of my music!

You're nervous and worried about what tomorrow will bring

When all you need to do is get up there and sing

You fear your hard work will never pay off

Through all of the saddness and tears that you fought.

All of the hardships and days of despair

It all just doesn't seem fair

You want it more than anything else

But all you have to fear is fear itself

For when the moment is here

Your time to shine

Everything will turn out just fine

Believe in yourself

And follow your heart

Your soul's desire

The passion . the fire

Burns inside of you

Day in and day out

For that is what chasing a dream is about.
