I'M BACK BABY! Lol. If you wanna know the details, read my blog titled "been gone for too long". But for those of you who don't know me, I'm Kay Hunie (pronounced K Honey)! I'm a young independant artist. Singing is my passion, but that's only the half of it. I write music (for other artists too, so if you need a writer.HOLLA), I dance, I'm really TRYING to play instruments, and I even attempt to rap sometimes Lol. I guess I would define my style as Funky. I get inspiration from a lot of very different genres of music (and fashion) so I'm very versatile. I've been an entertainer "professionally" since I was 8, but I didn't take singing seriously until I was eleven, and since then I can't seem to get it out of my system. My musical experience began with a GAP commercial being the lead singer of an all-girl rock band at age 10, from there I went to play Nala in the Broadway musical The Lion King and sang at the Apollo by the age of 12, after that I found my niche in an R&B/Pop girl group. Ultimately all of the ups and downs of the entertainment biz led me to want to do something DIFFERENT. And that's where I am now. My goal is to make music that evokes emotion, turns heads, and connects with the people who listen, all while steering clear of the cliche sex, violence, and drug promotion that urban music often glorifies. I don't want to sound corny, but that's really where my heart is. Be looking out for my 1st album "A Taste of Hunie"! Otherwise enjoy my music, it's my heart! God bless!
