ABOUT KAITI:

Kaiti Garbi has been in the music industry for eighteen years. Born in Athens, she started to show interest in the art of music by the time she was only thirteen years old. She began to perform at night clubs with her younger sister Liana. The two girls became known as the Garbi Sisters. Her first recording was made in 1987. She was featured in an album with various singers. She sang the song San Trope which became a hit instantly! Her great success helped her a great deal with the release of her first Album which was titled "PROVA".

*The success of "PROVA" became quite obvious, for Kaiti had gained many fans, many of which continue to follow her today. In 1990 she released her second album "GIALIA KARFIA". The following year she released the album "ENTALMA SILLIPSEOS". Both albums become a hit! In 1992 Kaiti's new album titled "TOU FEGGARIOU ANAPNOES" was released and was the first "laiko"(folk) based album. This was the first album Kaiti released to ever reach a status. The album sold 40,000 copies and reached the Gold status. For the first time Kaiti collaborated with composers Natalia Germanou and Niko Terzi which are credited for the hit "PES TO ME ENA FILI".In 1993 Kaiti receives a proposal to sing at Eurovision for Greece. Kaiti accepts and performed the song "ELLADA XORA TOU FOTOS" which received ninth place out of 64 countries. That same year her fifth studio album "OS TON PARADISO is released and also reaches the Gold status. This is the first time Kaiti has collaborated with composer Phoebus who wrote most of Kaiti's hits.

*More success followed along in 1994 as the album "ATOFIO XRISAFI" was released. In this album Kaiti has collaborated with her childhood idle Kostas Tourans and once again with Phoebus. The album becomes Gold it reaches the Platinum status having sold 100,000 copies. From this album the greatest hits released where "MIN ME SIGRINIS" and "KSIPOLITI XOREVO". Kaiti wins three music awards that year at the POP CORN music awards. In 1996 "ARXIZO POLEMO" was released. The album contained 12 songs written by Phoebus as well as other composers. The album reaches the status of 3x Platinum making this one of her most successful releases to date!

*Despite the great success for her album, the most important thing that was taking place at this time in Kaiti's life was her marriage to artist Dionisis Sxoinas. He proposed to her on a television talk show making Kaiti the center of attention all over Greece. In 1997 came the album "EVESTHISIES" which was composed exclusively by Phoebus himsef. This album contained two duets with two of the hottest names in the Greek music industry, Antonis Vardis and Antonis Remos. The album reaches the Platinum status within 24 days of it's release and eventually sells 200,000 copies making the cd reach the 3x Platinum status. At the same year Kaiti performs at the "Radio City" music hall where many famous artists like Madonna and Tina Turner have performed.

*Christmas time arrives and Kaiti releases a Christmas cd in 1998 titled "XRISTOUGENNA ME TIN KAITI". This album contains a variety of Christmas carols translated into the Greek language. The album becomes Gold selling 30,000 copies. "DORO THEOU" follows in 1999 selling 50,000 copies making the album reach Platinum status. The album contains many composers. At this time in her life, Kaiti is pregnant to her son and dedicates the song "DORO THEOU" exclusively to him. Her son is born on November 11.

*In 2000 "TO KATI" is released. This is a double album. It contains all of Kaiti Garbi's and Phoebus's hits. The first CD offers seven new tracks. This year Kaiti sings a duet called "EPITELOUS" with well-known artist Natassa Theodoridou. The album sells 240,000 copies and reaches a status of 4x Platinum.This was the only album to reach a status so high in 2000. At the end of the same year she releases a cd single "TI THELOUNE TA MATIA SOU". This single reaches Platinum status. She also performs with top Greek artist Anna Vissi at the night club Fever. This is the biggest show in Greece at the time which everyone is talking about. In 2001 "APLA TA PRAGMATA" is released and receives a status of 2x Platinum with sales of 100,000 albums. She performs her new hits at Iera Odos with Pasxalis Terzis. At the same time, Kaiti re-signs her contract with Sony Music.
