At FreeIceCream.net we are dedicated to creating great music and giving it away for FREE. We release new projects monthly and consistently host a variety of events in New York City, ranging from performances to FREE BBQs in the summertime. It is our mission to please the fans, and in our quest, we've been known to give away a FREE drink or two. FreeIceCream.net is home to great FREE music by Kats, Domer, and DJ SmutVillain, the site's founders. But that's just the tip of the iceberg! Our ever–growing catalog now includes Bohemian Rap CD, a collaboration project with IllSpokinn (of Spokinn Movement), Jake Lefco and Ryan-O'Neil, Business Casual, an indie rock inspired EP with Metermaids and brokeMC, a solo EP by Ryan-O'Neil called Hyphenated & Apostrophed, the Almost Fameless Mixtape series, featuring some of the best underground emcees and producers from the US and UK, and lots of projects by SmutVillain's Das Wyld Saloonatiks.
– Bohemian Rap CD features IllSpokinn (of Spokinn Movement), Jake Lefco, Ryan-O'Neil, Kats and Domer. Domer created all six tracks on the EP by skillfully sampling the Queen classic, and all five emcees appear on each of the songs.
– The Almost Fameless Mixtapes feature Kats and Domer collaborating with some of New York City's premier emcees and producers. Each mixtape is a ten–song party of all new material chocked full of bangin beats, top–notch rhymes and memorable guest appearances. And we're global now! The fifth installment in this series, slated for a 2010 release, is a special UK edition, featuring talented beat makers and rhyme spitters from England.
– Business Casual combines the lyrical styles of Kats, Domer, brokeMC and the Metermaids with Domer's hip–hop remixes of your favorite indie rock bands, including the White Stripes, Spoon, MGMT, the Black Lips and more.
– DJ SmutVillain and his crew, Das Wyld Saloonatiks, weave old school hip–hop into 80's dance beats and blend pop hits with dusty vinyl gems to create feel good party mixes.
