Kate Rogers Band

After 8 years on UK indie label 'Grand Central Records' where she was a regular vocalist for artists like AIM and Rae and Christian, as well as releasing two widely celebrated albums of her own in the UK, Kate decided it was time to bring it back to her hometown of Toronto, Canada.
Now, three years after the North American release of 'St. Eustacia' and a recent stint singing with Toronto indie rockers The Coast, Kate and her 5 piece band are running wild and independent after releasing their second full length album 'Beauregard' in 2009 to critical acclaim, followed closely by the 7 song ep 'Gadabout' in the summer of 2010.
With production by Toronto's Chris Stringer (Timber Timbre, Ohbijou, The D'urbervilles) and mixed by the venerable Michael Phillip Wojewoda (Rheostatics, Spirit of the West) these recordings boast a little extra energy, punch and indie rock flavour than earlier recordings and in turn gives Kate's affecting, soulful vocals the opportunity to really flex some muscle.
The band are currently sweating back in the studio, slippers on their feet, brains taxed, fingers sore – crafting the third (and best yet!) album which is planning for release in the spring of 2012.
