On a Live stage is where the band truely shines. With such a broad range of influences, ranging from Roots, Rockers, Ska and Dancehall, they are sure to keep you skankin all night long. Kali-mist have enjoyed playing in a wide range of venues, and with a number of established artists such as Bad Manners, Hundred Reasons, Idlewild, Adequate 7 and Rachel Stevens. To date Kali's biggest success was at the '06 O'neills undiscovered live battle of the bands competition. Where they battled against over 700 bands, to reach the final 8 and come 2nd. The final was held at the Carling Academy in Islington, London and was hosted by Radio One Dj Colin Murrey.

We then recorded a cd entitled KALI MIST, which was recorded at SKWAD HQ studios. The cd contains 10 of our most popular tracks which always go down well at our shows. After two weeks of recording and the sad depature of two band members, keyboard player Ga and Rez percussion,we have now released the cd and are still going strong.

In 2008 Kali Mist competed in a Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) to come out as Welsh champions. Following this our lead male vocalist (Adam) and sax player (Rick) decided to leave the band to persue other musical interests. So we had a reshuffle of the remaining members and recruited Dasher on keys at this has led us to our current line up. We are now writing loads of new material and hope to release our third album Jan 2009. Watch this space!

So if you are to hear a little whisper in the wind that KALI-MIST are playing near you soon, do YOURself a favor and just come along and Join the party!

"Watching Kali Mist is like watching 10 close, highly talented, well-practised musicians having a party on stage which everyone is invited to."
