English Bio

Kalamazoo is a four-piece Rock band from Paris (France) created in 2006. It came originally from the English band "Nezza" that was formed by the current singer of Kalamazoo and his Spanish roommate at the time, and former drummer of Nezza, while they were exchange students at the University of Nottingham in England.

Kalamazoo have been booked to play different gigs in prestigious venues in France and UK. After their first EP “101 Radford Boulevard” recorded in England in 2006, Kalamazoo came out with their first album “How to hunt a deer” out in april 2009, produced by No Clappin!

The album is out in all music shops (FNAC, VIRGIN etc) and all digital shops (Itunes, etc.)

The band is aiming now to look for a record label to make it easier to play around and focus more on writing!



French Bio

Groupe de Rock parisien de quatre musiciens, formé initialement par le chanteur/guitariste -Imade- en Angleterre sous le nom de Nezza (www.nezza.co.uk) en 2004. Fort d'un succès remarquable sur la scène outre-manche où ils enchaînent les concerts dans des salles prestigieuses à Nottingham, Londres ou Manchester le groupe est rapatrié sur paris depuis deux ans avec une nouvelle formation et de nouvelles compositions.

Après l’enregistrement de leur première E.P en Angleterre, en 2006, « 101 Radford Boulevard », Kalamazoo a décidé de sortir trois ans plus tard, leur premier album « How to hunt a deer » produit par No Clappin !

Rythmes prenants, refrains entraînants, et mélodies incisives dans une prestation live remarquable : ce sont les atmosphères que l'on peut retrouver au travers de leurs compositions qui laissent transparaître des influences comme Radiohead, The Pixies, Interpol et la toute récente mouvance Rock anglo-saxonne.
