Outside of the Netherlands, Amsterdam is mostly synonymous with drugs and prostitution. It has, however, much more to offer than just that because Amsterdam also has a flourishing music scene. One of the bands emerging from those fertile grounds is Tom Kinski.

Fed by the melancholy sadness that is often abundant in crowded cities their music draws influences from bands such as Sonic Youth, Television and Editors.

Starting out in 2005 under the name THE KGB, they quickly released their first EP 'Wherever you go, there you are' through the independent record label Kaiserlabel.com on February 1st, 2006. After some line-up changes the group found a new singer .

Following this, they changed their name to Tom Kinski and recorded new songs that are more representative of their current musical and lyrical path. These songs were recorded in the summer of 2008 by Menno Bakker at the infamous Bunt studios in Utrecht and by Joery Saal at studio 150 amsterdam. Its mastered by Alan Douches at WestWestSide Music. It is yet to be released.
