Julie

Julie started her carreer in 2002 i Denmark, when she came in second in the tv-reality show Popstars. At the time she was living in Aarhus, where she moved to from her mother-land Greenland, studying to become a doctor at the university. Singing had been her hobby and her dream from when she was very little, and she saw this as an opportunity to see how far she could get with it. In other words,- give the singing a chance. It turned out to be just excactly what she should have done a long time ago. But everything in its time, as Julie says. She released her debut-album "HOME" in 2003 and received three danish music awards, and has since then released "JULIE" , "ASASARA" (greenlandic word for "my love") and has this year her 4th album in danish for the first time. As she says,- "its time to make something different and something new. Im sure I wont disappoint my fans, this is a fantastic pop-album!" -with a living and engaged smile. Besides the singing Julie is very much into making changes in communities and countries contributing with her name, face, person and work. She encourages people to take a look at the homepages of "Save The Children" whom she often works for and sits as an ambassador for, Nanu (www.nanuboern.gl) the greenlandic organisation working for better lives for the children of her home-country, she recently became an ambassador for WWF and last but not least www.navia.is - a miracle working organisation.
