My name is Juliana Lopes da Mata Novo, born in 25.01.79 in a seashore city named Rio Grande, currently I live in Porto Alegre, RS/Brazil. Besides singing for 'Noctis Notus', 'Vintage Cafe' and drumming for 'Crucifixion BR', I work as a Delphi Systems Analyst/Developer. My ancestry is a mix of british and portuguese. As for my personality, I could say I'm a persistent person with a huge sense of justice and sometimes a brutal honesty, yet keeping a good sense of humour. I fight for my goals and don't give up easily. Always learning from my past and evoluting while revoluting.
As a musician I'm a singer and left-handed drummer, although I used to play guitar aswell. I am the drummer for brazilian Black Metal band 'CRUCIFIXION BR' since 1997, besides playing the guitar during 1996; I am a member since their beginning. We've recorded two demo-CD's in 2002 plus two live demo-CD's in 2000 and in 2005. I've taken part in various gigs with Crucifixion BR since 1999, mainly through the south of Brazil, we have also opened for 'Krisiun' in Dec/2007. We are going to release a single in 2010, and we are looking for labels to release our first full length album sometime in 2011. The album is being recorded and mixed at Hurricane's Studio in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and mastered in Karlskoga, Sweden by Henrik Nordvargr. Cover art by norwegian artist Bjorn Schistad.
As a singer I am classified as a lyric soprano, although I tend to explore my whole range, and I sing from rock to Classical style, being strongly influenced by Heavy Metal voices. For now I have 3.3 octaves-range, hitting from C3 to F6.
During the year of 2005, I've acted mostly as a Mezzosoprano in the Symphonic Choir of OSPA (Symphonic Orchestra of Porto Alegre). I've performed in works by Gustav Mahler, Felix Mendelson Bartoldy and Giuseppe Verdi. In the same year I joined a Nightwish/After Forever cover band as the vocalist. We had some gigs in 2005, you can watch some old videos on You Tube. In January 2006 they came to an end.

In November 2006 I became the lead singer of american symphonic metal band 'Dremora'. We released an EP in August/2007 named 'Martyrs'. In the beginning of December/2007, Dremora decided to part ways. In May 2008 a song from Martyrs EP is featured alongside After Forever, Epica, Agua de Anique on "A World Of Sirens" 2 CD's compilation released by Sonic Cathedral Records (USA) in cooperation with Nuclear Blast, Ascendance Records and other labels. In June, another song from Martyrs EP is featured in the compilation CD "Ferocity and Femininity", produced by Anthem Records Netherlands.
In January/2008 I was invited to sing in the doom/death metal project 'Lamented Despondency' from Slovakia. In April 2008 I quit the project.

In March/2008 I've formed my current Heavy/Thrash Metal band from Porto Alegre, Brazil named NOCTIS NOTUS. We took part on the internacional competition 'Global Battle Of The Bands'. We have also supported Tarja pn her gig in Porto Alegre, 2012. I'm working with NOCTIS NOTUS on our debut EP named 'The Hateful Hours' who might be finished by 2013.

Gravei com eles o álbum Ornaments Of Death.
