Bio

Born in 1988 in Detroit Michigan, the talented aspiring artist was raised in Southfield; a suburb of Detroit. Later on down the rode young Jarred’s mother moved them out to Waterford, MI to present him with better opportunities to become successful in life; but music was on his mind for a long time. Growing up, spending a lot of time at home was not in the plan, because his mother worked hard to take care of him and his brother so a lot of time was spent at his cousins’ house. This is where he met hip-hop.

He used to go through his cousins’ tapes and listen to classic albums like, Reasonable Doubt (Jay-Z), It Was Written (Nas). In middle school, as he was coming into his own man, he picked up rapping because it came as a gift. He started kickin’ rhymes at the lunch table like every other kid; he just stood out a little more. Always with two loves in this world; Basketball and Music, he is currently a college student and athlete at Rochester College, but carries around a notebook full of songs and rhymes that could spark a career for any artist who found it lying around somewhere. Jarred likes to stand out as far as music goes; a talented young lyricist is a rare commodity in this day and age of hip hop, and it’s time to go back to the roots. Take it back to where it started; when it was more about the music and the lyrics then about who the person is and what they do.

People say “Hip Hop Is Dead” and that statement holds true in some ways but not entirely. Hip Hop might be dying on the main stream but there’s real music out there in the underground scene, because that’s where it all started. Although Jarred is a full time student and athlete he still works hard and puts the hours in on his craft. He already has one Mixtape out titled “Hip Hop Is in Session” and is currently spending multiple hours in the studio preparing two others. His style isn’t something you can find under a rock…neither is excellence. Everyone draws inspiration from somewhere. “J-Roc’s” drew from notable sources such as: Jay-Z, Nas, Andre 3000, Lupe Fiasco, and Travis McCoy (Gym Class Heroes) He just likes artist who don’t follow the trend and have there own styles and own dope lyrics. With a line of inspirations such as those, it’s no wonder why he is as good as he is today. Music and Basketball go hand-in-hand, and that’s all Jarred’s life has been up to now. Becoming a successful artist is a dream that Jarred has been in pursuit of for a long time so he lives by this motto…”Hit the snooze button…keep the dream alive.Rated-R wad Up!!! Moonchild Wad Up!!!!!!
