3 OF MY SONGS IN THE AUSTRALIAN SONGWRITING FINALS 2012.
Please have a listen to my latest original song "Just Fall". Its a jazz/rock/fusion track, something different from me. Really proud of this one, it took a while, but its up now, so check it out.

2012 - a busy year with completing Year 11 at school. But I still managed to write a handful of songs. I'm working on slowly having them professionally recorded, and I will let you know when they are up and ready to listen to.

2011 - A year of learning. I really decided to focus on my guitar skills this year, and after winning a scholarship to Berklee College of Music summer school, I realised I have heaps to still learn. So head down for the next year to gain those skills.

2010 "What a year! I've been away more than I've been home this year, and been all around the globe. I've lived a term in China and learned to be independant. I've seen other cultures, the most amazing cities and met incredible people. I've mixed school, holidays and music everywhere, and worked with some super talented people. 2010 has been incredible. I've been on TV shows in Australia, and overseas, had several plays on radio, performed at Festivals, solo and with my band, got 5 songs in the finals for The Australian Songwriting Awards, written music and songs with people that are pure genius and most importantly I got lots of advice, and I know what I have to work on to help me write great songs, so while I'm still completing high school, I'm focussing hard on developing my skills, my writing and my style ready for my music career. Thanks to everyone who I've met this year and please stay tuned."
Also, jourdain's recent solo show at the St Kilda Festival Live n Local went great, and thanks to the amazing crowd who danced on the street during the shows Jourdain will also appear from April in the joint ABC/BBC TV Series "Dead Gorgeous" in the role of Edgy, which will also air in Germany on Nickelodeon jourdain is a feature artist on Channel V Show "Hangin' with - Dream Inc" .
ABOUT JOURDAIN -
jourdain is a charismatic 16 year old Australian singer/songwriter/electric & acoustic guitarist & dancer. jourdain enjoys a mix of styles, especially pop, rock, electric guitar solos, rnb, acoustic & experimental. jourdain takes singing lessons, guitar, theory, musicianship & dance too ('cos he wants to be an allround performer). Jourdain performs solo or with a band. Although jourdain is shy off stage, on stage he transforms into a natural performer & loves entertaining huge crowds - the stadiums are his favourite. A keen songwriter, jourdain believes your songs have to come from your heart & experiences so they are true to you. I have to feel my originals, & the words have to be my own style. As one of Australia's most experienced young performers, jourdain hopes to soon be a regular on the world stage.BIOGRAPHY -

The Australian/Chinese adult singing championships in Melbourne & Sydney where as the guest artist he did a full set for Asian TV.
Solo show at St Kilda Festival 2010.
Concert length show alongside Harambee Choir at Federation Square.
The feature artist jourdain performed in Concert for The Camden Haven Music Festival FR in NSW.
2 solo concerts at The Chillout Festival in Daylesford.
In 2009 jourdain played at venues around Victoria as the support act for guitarist Joe Robinson.
jourdains band have recently performed at Hamer Hall & Etihad Stadium and did the Kool Skools project in 2009, where they were nominated for Best RnB track, Best Male Vocal (jourdain), and won the Judges Choice for "Band". Their song "Such is Life" also appears on the Best of Kool Skools 2009 CD.

jourdain is now writing his own songs & music, showing great promise, in 2010 he has 5 songs in the finals for The Australian Songwriting Awards, Back at 11 years old, his 1st song "With your Love" placed 2nd in The Australian Songwriting Awards 2007 & 2nd in the ACMF National Songwriting Awards 2007. jourdain also rewrote the famous Yooralla Jingle in 2008 Winning 1st place. In 2009 "I'm Sure" received radio air play on Joy FM and was Highly Commended in the ACMF Songwriting Competition. "Such is Life" was nominated for Best RnB Track in Kool Skools 2009 and features on the Best of Kool Skools 2009 CD. "Friends for Life" is a myspace fan favourite. jourdain has now written many songs - "Gotta Move On" shows jourdains signature style - a unique blend of electric guitar and cool vocals, and "I'm Sure" again blends great guitar with smooth vocals. "Such is Life" written with his band "Urban Zoo" shows his diversity & story telling abilities. New track "China" was a co write in London with Grammy Award winning writer Tom Nichols and Steve Young. jourdain has received praise for his songwriting from as far as Canada & the USA & his fan base stretches from Australia, Europe, France, the UK, Asia & the U.S.A. In 2010 jourdain focused on developing his unique skills & his own style to a world class level, & learning to write quality music & songs Already building a worldwide fan base through his tv performances, myspace & youtube, jourdain will continue to nurture this with original songs and performances - starting with 2 solo sets at The 2010 St Kilda Festival. jourdain will also appear in a new Television Series "Dead Gorgeous" to be shown on the ABC in Australia,BBC in UK, and Nickelodeon Germany. Also jourdains Band is doing their first Video Clip. Also, in 2010 jourdain will travel overseas and continue learning to write great songs and music.
