I’ve always had these bios written about me but they never seem to quite fit. This time around, I want you to hear my story straight from the horse's mouth…



Music has always been a huge part of my life. As far back as I can remember, I’ve been a singer. I grew up in a musical family in the heart of Mississippi where I was exposed to music ranging from Johnny Cash to the Eagles to B.B. King and everything in between. I learned to sing in church and later picked up my dad’s old guitar. I played in bands throughout high school and college performing anywhere they’d let me play. That led me here, to Nashville, TN.



Six years ago I moved to this Nashvegas town like everyone else wanting to be the next big thing. one problem though, I didn't have any songs to sing. I began calling publishers in town asking for songs but no one would give songs to some no name joe that just rolled into town so I had to learn to write them on my own. It was the best thing that could've ever happened to me. I fell in love with the craft of writing a song that could connect with someone and make them feel. Somewhere along the way I morphed from a performing artist to a performing songwriter.



Now I get to wake up everyday with the challenge of sitting in a room, staring down a blank sheet of paper and coming out victorious with a new song. Then I get to go play it for whoever will listen and hope & pray they feel it like I did when I was writing it. That’s what I love about music, it’s a shared experience. It can make you smile or it can make you cry; it can knock you down and then pick you right back up again and I'm lucky enough to get the honor of sharing it with you. Thank you for listening.
