Jose Delhart is a musician, visual artist, cowboy boot collector, traveling gnome look-alike, and Emergency Medical Technician, living and breathing in Brooklyn, NY. Delhart emerged from playing lap steel and "tic-toc" guitar for Bogs' Visionary Orchestra many moons ago, where the obsessive, hand-crafted nature of BVO's musical recordings sparked Delhart's interest in home-grown music.
Delhart began to document his own experiences that soon became songs scrapped into a humble 4-track recorder. These tapes of haunted and melancholic tunes served as sketches for Little Red Buddha, Delhart's debut full-length album, recorded primarily in ramshackle, cluttered basements and dilapidated, wooden-floor living rooms. Joined by friends from mountains, caves, and far away places who added their own blood and sweat to the story, Little Red Buddha is a narrated journey on a path to enlightenment and midnight runs to White Castle, with Delhart as the protagonist.
