EARLY DAYS!

I started being in a band around 1984 or so when me and some friends in school wanted to become rock stars just like our idols in Kiss, Motley Crue, Ac/Dc, Wasp etc We put a band together, Rising Power, and tried to figure out how the hell to we play these instruments!!! So we got some help from the older guys in school who already knew how to play coz they had a band called Special Forces. So, we picked up the rough ideas how to play and within a year we had been narrowed down to a 4 piece and changed our name twice! One of them was Corpse and we recorded one demo tape called Black Dawn. Corpse music was our attempt to sound like German thrash bands like Kreator and Destruction, but we didn't quite nailed it. Instead we had our "own" sound!:-) This line-up lasted for about 3 years or so, then when we were a 3 piece we decided to change name to Grave.

INTO THE GRAVE

Grave's music is pretty fucking far from those Ac/Dc, Kiss kinda riffs we were starting out with. Grave was pure, raw, primitive Death Metal. 3 demos was recorded between 1987 and 1989. "Sick, Disgust, Eternal", "Sexual Mutilation" and "Anatomia Corporis Humani". Already pretty known in the huge death metal underground scene we got signed to Century Media records in 1990 and recorded our first album, "Into the grave". With Century Media's help and money we got sent out on tours world wide to support the "Into the Grave" album. With this band I recorded 3 albums, "Into the Grave", "Youll Never See." and "Soulless" and an EP called "And Here I Die.satisfied". With this band I started to play guitar and vocals and ended up playing bass and vocals. We toured around the world together a few times before I decided to quit the band in 1995. www.grave.se

ENTOMBED

So, I got tired of doing Grave and started to play bass with my friend Kenth Philipson and his band Leukemia. And then Entombed called me and asked if I could fill in for Lars on the big Swedish Hultsfreds Festivalen. I got nothing better to do so I accepted, and we had a blast, learned 15 songs or so in only 5 days, got drunk for 2 days and almost completely forgot all the songs, hahah Nah, we did just fine for that gig. About 1 month later they called me up again and asked if I was interested in playing bass for the band, so I joined the army of Entombed. We recorded albums and toured the world, saw Great White sharks, played at the Stockholm Royal Operahouse and much much more together until I decided to quit the band on personal problems within the band in 2004. www.entombed.org

ENTOMBED - CHIEF REBEL ANGEL (LIVE AT HULTSFRED FESTIVAL 2002)

Entombed was my main band and top priority as it was our living. But as almost every band member in Sweden, you gotta have at least 1 side project So I joined 2!

THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX

In 1998, my friend and companion in crimes, Kenth Philipson called and asked if I could help him out with some vocals for his new band, The Project Hate MCMXCIX. So after a gig in Västerås, me and L-G Petrov of Entombed went to Örebro over the day and layed down the vocals for a 3 song demo Kentha had recorded with Dan Swanö. In order to that, Kentha continued to write songs for TPH and recruited other members but still with me on vocals. Up to this day we have recorded 4 full length albums, 1 live album and the 5th album is being mixed right fucking now, 2007-04-23. It will be released on StormVox rec. Owned by none other then our friend, Peter Stormare! It was released and sold almost nothing. We ended up selling more records than the company itself and who else to blame than the band. of course, we did not wanna tour with this band and we said so along time ago. Suggestions came in that we should change our music into 3 minute songs and start touring as a 3 piece with a laptop. Well, that was never going to happen so we ended the relationship with Stormvox. And today, 15th of June 2009 we are awaiting the new album to be released, it is called The Lustrate Process and should hit the store the 6th of July through Vic Records. www.theprojecthate.net

KRUX

In the year 2000, me, Peter Stjärnvind (drums in Entombed at the time) and once again Kenth Philipson started another project called Devil Sun. I wanted to pick up the guitar work again as it had been 8 years ago since I played guitar in a band. Our intention was to blast out some killer Doom Metal in the vein of Candlemass and Trouble. So we did 3 songs together, then we recruited none other than Leif Edling from Candlemass on bass. We rehearsed twice, then Devil Sun got put on ice due to massive touring and recordings from Entombed. But, in the meantime that same year, Leif had plans on reforming Candlemass, but had a whole album of songs that he couldn't use for Candlemass So he called me up and asked if me and Peter could help him out recording this album, under the name Krux. And so was another band born. We have now released 2 records together and did a few shows here and there. This summer we will perform at the Sweden Rock Festival and at Mälarrocken in Västerås! We have plans on doing at least one more album with this band when time comes. This is a band with members of many other bands like; Peter Stjärnvind - Nifelheim. Mats Leven- Therion etc. Fredrik Åkesson - ex Arch Enemy. Leif Edling- Candlemass. Carl Westholm - Carptree and then me. So putting a show together with this line up is pretty tough! www.kruxdoom.se

KRUX - OMFALOS

VICIOUS ART

So, back to when I quit Entombed 2004. I had plans doing a new Death Metal band, and contacted Matti Mäkelä, who used to play in Dark Funeral. We knew each other more because of hanging out in the same pubs, and we always said, when the day come we will start a band together. So, I told him when I met him that I had left Entombed and now is the time That is great he said, we just recorded a demo and need a bass player, join us. Us was Vicious Art. I loved the demo they gave me and I joined them at once. We recorded and released our first album that same year, and now we are working on the second full length album. It will be released this year on Mighty Music Rec, Denmark!!The album was named "pick up this sick child" and got great reviews in alot of press and by our fans. We did a small tour in scandinavia together with Death Breath, a band I also do some guest vocals for. We also played the Inferno fest 2009. And now, june 2009, we have started to work on new material. Hopefully we will have enough material at the end of this year to start recording some new stuff!!! Now it is March 2010. Mighty Music dropped the band from the label due to re-organisation within the label so we have decided to put the band on ice for some time just to get some motivation to come back and curse your asses!!www.viciousart.se

VICIOUS ART - WEED THE WILD (LIVE IN ÖREBRO 2007)

TORTURE DIVISION

In the year 2008 we started a new band.

Again it was Kentha Philipson who had plans this time together with Vomitory drummer Tobben Gustafsson. They asked me to join on bass and vocals, and I had nothing better to do than say of course. At an early stage we did some guidelines for the band.

1. Not to record an album until we released at least 3 demotapes.

2. Keep the band as a 3 piece.

3. Release all our music for free over the internet.

4. There is no riff good enough not to have a blastbeat over it.

With that in mind we recorded 3 demos in the year 2008. Released them for free on the website. We also recorded a limited 7" for a japanese super fan. He offered us to print 4 copies of a christmas single if we recorded a WASP cover and one new song. So we did. In early 2009 Abyss records from USA asked if they could print our songs on one CD and release 1000 copies. No problem, anyone can if they want to we replied. Said and done, he released 1000 copies so now there is actually an official cd out. But they have no rights to it whatsoever so if you wanna print 666 copies and give/sell/trade with your friends, just go ahead!!!

Check out the website frequently as we release 3 songs every now and then.
