JORGE CAMPOS PROJECT

Chilean born double bass and electric bass player Jorge Campos is a composer, recording artist, performer, producer, music and electric bass teacher. He has been considered as one of the best bass players in Latin America and built up a reputation for himself as a master in his instrument and a studious of it. He's been member of the most emblematic avant garde music in Chile(Fulano, Congreso)and collaborated with great artists over the world.
He has been endorser of Warwick Basses and Amps for many years and custom made his own Machi bass, a double neck bass a 4 strings fretless and 8 strings fretted. Jorge has toured the world with his projects.

The Jorge Campos Project is a collective band project, based in the music of this great Chilean bass player and composer.
This music project is structured from Jorge Campos solo albums: Machi (2000) conceived only for basses and drums, capturing the telluric nature of our land and La Ausencia de lo Sagrado (2004) a trip through the elements and the state of the being. Experimental Music inspired in styles as diverse as drum & bass, rock,fusion and folklore.
Nowadays this repertoire is interpreted by an interesting group of people that transforms the original compositions into a new sonic experiment. The musicians of this bands have long and interesting trajectories in the independent music and art of Chile and abroad.
The concert is articulated with a show of sound and audiovisual experimentation, of high environmental and urban content that transforms it into a great sensorial and reflexive experience to the public in general.



Jorge Campos Project es un colectivo de musicos que trabajan en base a la musica del gran bajista y compositor chileno Jorge Campos.
Este proyecto musical esta estructurado por los albumes solistas de Jorge Campos: Machi(2000) concebido solo para bajos y tambores, capturando la naturaleza telurica de nuestra tierra y La Ausencia de lo Sagrado(2004) un viaje por los elementos y los estados del ser. Musica experimental inspirada en estilos tan diversos como drum &bass, rock, fusion y folklore.
Este repertorio es interpretado por un interesante grupo de musicos que transforman las composiciones originales en un nuevo experimento sonico. Los musicos de estas bandas tienen interesantes trayectorias en el arte y la musica independiente de Chile y el extranjero.
El concierto esta articulado con un show de experimentacion sonora y audiovisual de alto contenido urbano y medioambiental que lo transforma en una gran experiencia sensorial y reflexiva para el publico en general.
