I am Lead Guitarist for Progressive Records Artist Davey T. Hamilton. Playing the guitar since I was about 9 years old. My earliest memories always include a guitar in them somehow. Self taught at an early age, I started taking lessons with some of the finest instuctors in NY. My first taste of playing in a band came at 15 years old, when I joined a local, Long Island Heavy Metal band, from that point on I was a constant presence in the Long Island, '80's music scene. At 19, I enrolled at Five Towns College and received my degree in Jazz Studies on guitar. After being out on the road, I went back to school and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from the prestigious Aaron Copeland School of Music at C.U.N.Y and later received a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance. During the early 1990's, I built my first recording studio, Perfect Image Productions, at the time, a state of the art, 24 track facility located in Long Island, NY. I recorded and mixed thousands of locals bands and artists at this facility using the Pro-Tools system. I am now a certified user and teacher of this recording method. In 1994, I was introduced to country music on Long Island and after growing up playing songs by the Eagles, the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the whole southern rock era, I was blown away by what I was hearing on country radio. I quickly set my sights on forming the ultimate country band, and in 1996 formed the band Southern Grace. The band took the club scene by storm and was soon the band that "couldn't be missed", with this band I made a name for myself as a top notch band leader. The band played to thousands of country music fans by playing shows at the Jones Beach Bandshell concert series and being regulars at venues like Matty T's, The Music Box, The Whiskey Cafe, The Colorodo Cafe, The Baja Cafe, Heffrons, The Polish American Hall in Port Washington, NY. Long Island Country Music Association dances, NJ Country Music Association dances, the NY Metro Country Music Association dances. The band was then put into steady rotation in the Atlantic City casino's, playing at Sands Casino, Harrahs Casino, The Showboat Casino, Trumps Taj Majhal Casino, and Ballys Wild, Wild West Casino. We also opened shows at the P.N.C. Arts Center, where we opened for Reba McEntire. The band also played regularly at Six Flaggs Great Adventure, playing with Restless Heart, Linda Davis, Marty Stuart, Sherri Austin, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, Pam Tillis, Hal Ketchum, John Michael Montgomery as well as others. Now in Nashville, I have played many of the local clubs, and I'm having a blast. I have just finished my new, Pro-Tools studio based in Hendersonville, TN. called Perfect Image Recording. At present, I have a 19 year old female singer looking for Taylor Swift type songs and a 21 year old male singer looking for Dierks Bentley type songs. These artists are looking to cut songs NOW.
