Hi Everybody! I'm back :-)(If you have received this already I apologize. Trying to figure out my new email program.)I know I haven't sent one of these out in forever, but times are a changing, and I will definitely send out this newsletter (well, a new one at least) once a month or so. So what has been going on worth mentioning in my life since last time we spoke? Weeeeell I got a new favorite movie. It's called Hot Rod. You should totally see it. Pretty much the dumbest film since Kung Pao (which was awesome!). If you have any advice on movies I should see, please let me know. Netflix has been serving me nothing but crap lately. Oh yes, I got some music stuff in the making too!

Check this out:I'm going to Germany from the 22nd- 28th of March to play for my amp company, Elmwood, at the Frankfurt Musikmesse. It will be my first time there so I'm stoked about that. A major holler goes out to Elmwood for being so kind as to let me represent them!

(www.elmwood.se)I've also been doing a regularly occuring  gig at Webers Place in Reseda (CA) which seems to be very appreciated. I'm gonna try to play a lot more local shows so the world (or at least Los Angeles) gets to take part of my incredibly weird musical universe! If you're in the valley, I would love to see you at one of my shows. Since I can't afford a band right now I've been playing with backing tracks so prepare for diabolic Milli Vanilli!Next booked gig is at Rustys Surf Ranch, May 14 (256 Santa Monica Pier Santa Monica, CA 90401-3126). This one is an all ages event and if I can consistently put my fingers on the right frets of the guitar, I'm sure it will be awesome. Oh and cover is $7 and I start playing at 7:30pm.I'm writing like crazy on material for my next CD. I've included a couple of new songs in my live set and so far everyone is happy. I bet you never heard Bulgarian wedding music, hard rock and country on the same album before. Things are about to change brothers and sisters :-)If you are a podcaster you can now find me at music alley

(http://www.musicalley.com/music/listeners/searchResults.php?SearchString=john+huldt&go2=Search+Keywords) and apparently some already have.

I get super happy when people play my music so if you're diggin' don't be shy :-)A couple of new videos are up for those who like those kinds of things. A ballad I wrote and a guitar arrangement for The Legend Of Zelda (yeah I'm a video game nerd.)

I've pimped my facebook! It's so cool. Well it's really just that I got some music up there and I update it daily. If you're on there I would love to be friends/fans.

Follow me:http://www.facebook.com/home.php?!/pages/John-Huldt/30774020277 and I will take you there. So spoketh the mighty URL. Oh for those of you that are still into myspace I got a new design on that one too (yeah yeah I know, it's 2 years too late) www.myspace.com/johnhuldt. To the more important things in life. I got a new favorite beer. Samuel Adams Cream Stout. It's like a better Guiness. I need to get a Sam Adams endorsement. That would rock!I'm really good friends with:

www.t-rex-effects.com

www.georgelsstore.com

www.mpamp.com

If you pay them a visit please tell them I said hi :-)

Think that's about it. If I could only send this out a little more frequently I wouldn't have to pack so much in here. But I promise bettering myself promptly!I hate spam as much as you do so if you don't want this, just let me know and I'll remove you from the mailing list (or just hit unsubscrice at the bottom of the page) and I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Thank y'all so much for your time and I hope you're having a great day.

John Huldt was born in 1876 and was raised by the monks of Tibet.

He was soon recognized for his tremendous talent for music and by the age of 3 he had already traveled the world and written music for both orchestra and acid jazz bands.

"Rules Do Not Apply" is his first instrumental guitar driven CD and what sets it apart for the bulk of its peers is the heavy emphasis on song writing and dynamics.

"I didnt wanna do a CD with just chord vamps and guitar shredding.

Of course there's every trick in the book on my CD as well but its used from, I believe a more musical standpoint. I dont want my music to sound like exercises but like actual songs with recognizable parts like verse, chorus and so on."

Playing with him he has soon-to-be-famous greek drummer Kal Drakopoulos and world renowned bassist Phil Bynoe.

And here's what some famous people have to say about his playing.

"Before I heard John Huldt play, I was stuck in this I-IV-V chord rut.

But listening to his music really made my ears open up for more colorful harmonics. Like minor chords and shit."

F. Chopin - Keyboard player.

"If it wasnt for John Huldts insane feel for time and spacing of notes,

I would've never came up with special and general relativity. I owe him so much!"

A. Einstein - Patent clerk and hobby physicist.

"I used to think I was the second best guitar player in the Universe after Yngwie Malmsteen but now I guess I'll have to accept to be second runner up."

God - Creator of all things.

Of course not one word of this bio is true. Im just another guy with a guitar but I do believe I got really good songs :-) If you buy my music I get really happy! I also do all kinds of session, studio and live work so if you ever need a solid guitar player, hit me up!
