Johanna Gard

Born and Raised in Sweden, Johanna Gard grew up in a musical family. Gospel was her main musical influence and she toured with her family throughout most of her childhood. As a teenager Johanna started to write and perform music as a solo artist.
Through the years she's been collaborating and working with different songwriters and producers, both in Stockholm and Los Angeles. This led to her completed self-titled EP that was released in 2006.
Alongside Aril Lavigne, she performed at the "Volvo for Life Awards" in the "Rainbow Room" in New York.
In Los Angeles 2010, she was one of the contestants in the "R&B Idol" competition and made it to the finals.
Johanna also performs as a back-up vocalist / session singer, and has been working together with artists such as the Swedish idol winner Agnes and September etc. When not singing and performing herself, she passes on her knowledge and experience as a vocal coach.
She's now living in Los Angeles, and after graduating from the vocal program at the "Musicians Institute", she's devoting all her energy towards pursuing a music career in the USA.
Together with 4 very talented musicians and 3 back up vocalists, she recently started the "Johanna Gard Band". They're based in California and are performing Johanna's original material at clubs and venues.
