Well It's 2009 and I'm at the point of starting over again! Back here in Florida I have managed to meet some of what I consider to be great songwriters. Tina Eno, Bill Rice, Lathan Hudson and one who goes by Nashville Mike. I have yet to write with Mike but living in Nashville and working the music for over 10 years has taught me some things.Tina Eno's song "How Do You Let Go" is a song for the times as many of us have lost loved ones and Homes due to economic crisis. We as songwriters try our best to convey from our hearts and our experiences to share with others and to help them find Joy and sometimes just understanding from one who has seen this event in their own lives. Strangely enough I have never been a big fan of music but I have always loved songs. The words and the stories are where the meat of the song lies. Music to me is the salt and pepper and if applied just right will bring about the savory content of the message. My thanks go out to people Like Ron Keith for showing me how to appreciate character. Tina Eno for sharing her writing skills and playing ability that once again applied salt and pepper to the songs as well as her ability to craft words to touch the heart. Mr Todd I have never forgotten you! All that I have done through it has never profited me one bit was done because I believed in the art and the artist. I cry every time I cut a song in the studio when I feel it come to life! It means more than anyone can understand who has not been there. To all of those I have shared and helped may God Bless each and every one of You. I want to thank all of the professionals who have helped guide and counsel me along my way! Bill Rice, Jerry Foster, Frank Napp,Rafe Vanhoy, Bill Dees, Dale Noe, Paul Craft, Keith Stegal,Bill Todd, Lathan Hudson,David Maddox, Tim Dubois, Steve Williams,Doug Rice, Mary Beth Felts, Charley Bundy, Kevin Douglas, Harlen Howard and so many more. I must say as hard as my life has been I have been fortunate to meet so many people who have done so much for this business. God Bless our country and may Universal publishing someday find a way to put Kevin Douglas and Al Sostrins Red White & Blue up front where it belongs
