Battz grew up in the hood of Carlton Park in Central Islip, Long Island NY Being left to raise him self on the streets young battz learned how to survive in the hood. Battz did whatever it took to complete his dreams of becoming a rap artist. His biggest influnces are De La Soul, Run DMC, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Big Pun, Biggie, Jay -Z, Nas, Mobb Deep, Jadakiss, Styles-P, Sheek Louch, 2 Pac, KRS One, Channel Live,Wu Tang Clan, Das Efx, DMX, Pharo Munch, Pharcyde, Artifacts, Cypress Hill, RA The Rugged Man, N.W.A, Mosdef, Common, Talib Kweli, A Tribe Called Quest, Ice T, Xzibit, Ice Cube, Afrika Bambaataa, Big-L, Beastie Boys, Biz Markie, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Ludacris, T-I, Lil Wayne, Guru, The Geto Boys, Out Kast, LL Cool J, Ja Rule, K-Solo, Canibus, Eminem, 50Cent, Tony YaYo, LLoyed Banks, Fabolous, Red Cafe, Juel Santana, Pittbull, T-pain, Drake, Nikki Manaj, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, and many more.



Battz began to rap in 92 going by the name Jevar. Battz came up with that Stage name when he started writing graffitti in 91. He is a excellent graffiti artist when it came down to creating incredible art pieces. After graduating high school in 99 Battz attended Katherine Gibbs school of buisness for digital arts and animation. But Battz came to realize music was his passion so young Battz Dropped out. Battz became friends with another local rapper named Vinnie Da Don back in 1995. They reunited in 1999 and decided to start a group called "2FACE and Jevar" they were an unstoppable movement. Battz & Vinnie became the craziest underground group out of suffolk county in 99. Vinnie was a nice story teller and Battz was insane with creating melodies, freestyles and crazy with hooks. They both hit the streets heavy in 99 with the puff puff pass single and torcha. In 2000 They both decided to take a group break and focus on there solo careers as rap artists.



In 2001 Battz met up with Dj495 and was introduced to Young Hornz of Distantworld Records. Battz later signed onto the DistantWorld's movement making Horns his manager. He created alot of songs with this label during his time with Distant producing a crazy mixtape and hitting the streets. Pushing the product fast Battz managed to sell out 30,000 cd's in a week. Time went by and Battz later found out that the label was falling apart so with no offers on the table he decided to finish out his 7 year contract which Battz only had a year left and parted ways with Distantworld in 2008.



In 2010 Battz decided to start his own label called Fiyah House Ent looking for his own artist to tare up th underground and industry scene. Battz is now one the most underrated recording artist known in todays NY's underground hip hop scene. Battz has performed in many places and has over 13 years of experience on his belt when it comes to recording and performing. He is still looking to be signed by a major record lebal one day! He is a lyrical genius, a profound writer and an impeccable performer. This artist should not be taken for granted and you all need to be on the look out for BATTZ!
