What's a hardcore kid to do when he feels like he's expressed himself to the point of limitation with one style of music? Channel his passion into another musical love: hip hop. Joe Monmouth is an MC from Neptune, NJ who has been rhyming since 2006. Hip hop has become his new outlet for his old style of writing. Having always been influenced by hip hop and having always incorporated some of those elements into his hardcore acts, Joe Monmouth decided to put the screaming aside and bring the lyrical complexity to light. Touching on esoteric subjects like politics, religious hypocrisy and social ills and mixing those topics with more concrete, everyday experiences like heartbreak, loss and insecurity, JM attempts to challenge the ears of anyone who listens to him. Despite being a relative newcomer to the art of creating hip hop, Joe Monmouth writes and writes and writes to craft potent rhymes that leave a lasting impression.
