My name is Jodie Steele. I sing, dance, act and perform.it is what I live, breathe and love. And I will NOT stop until I make it!

I work myself too hard, chase the impossible dreams, put myself under too much pressure, expect too much of my abilities, aim for perfection in all that I do. and I wouldn't change that for the world.

   About Jodie Steele

Jodie is an 19yr old singer from Basingstoke, Hants. When not performing, Jodie studies at ACM on the Vocal Diploma Course, works at Lloyds Bar, and enjoys sports and personal fitness. Jodie also dances with CULT and JLD Dance School.

Jodie is a very outgoing, socially popular individual who takes pride in all that she does. Despite always being there for friends and making time for the people she cares for, she never forgets her goal or fails to impress people. Jodie continuously works towards her future by attending a range of dance classes, singing tuition, basic piano lessons, and spends her free time working with local producers – creating and recording her own material or her own interpretation of covers. Jodie has also worked with local artists such as The Author, XTC, Tempz and G2K.

Jodie regularly performs live, having appeared at the same events as the likes of Kano, DJ Ironik, NDUBZ, DJ Luck and MC Neat, and taking centre stage at Basingstoke Live. She claims that her favourite thing to do in the whole world is to perform live in front of tiny or huge crowds. as long as she is entertaining she's smiling. Local media interest includes radio- both Basingstoke and Reading, and regular mentions in the region’s major papers - either highlighting forthcoming appearances or an ever increasing amount of praise for performances given.

Jodie attended Brighton Hill Community College, achieving 11 grade A*, A & B GCSE’s. Being a big sports fan at this time of her life, she also achieved a Junior Sports Leadership Award, was the captain of the girls’ football team, and competed in the athletics, netball and rounder’s team. However, as she came to the end of her senior school life, Jodie began to realise her love and drive for the performing arts world was more important and preferred aspect in her life. She therefore went on to study the BTEC National Diploma at Queen Mary’s College. This enabled her to further her education both academically and, most importantly to Jodie, artistically: undertaking vocal tuition, and commanding the stage in both Queen Mary’s College productions and local drama groups. Jodie has performed leading roles in musicals such as Peter Pan, Chicago, Joseph and The Technicolor Dream Coat, and productions such as Tess of the D’Urbervilles and Macbett. She also landed the role of Mrs Walker in the huge production of Tommy at QMC College.

Jodie’s key influences are Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Eva Cassidy, Usher and Amy Winehouse. Her individual preference is the more ‘urban scene’ style of music, but she listens to a range of genres from reggae and soul, to Indie and alternative rock. Jodie Steele was simply born to entertain, to step up on stage and offer her talent.
