Joakim Arenius is the musical director of Praise Unit, the new mixture of modern dance beats and soulful church music from Sweden. Joakim directed Europes oldest gospel choir, Joybells, for eight years and is now travelling to inspire choirs from different parts of the world. His songs have been recorded by Gospel Music Workshop of America, German Gospel Choir, Joybells and many other choirs. Joakim Arenius & Praise Unit released the CD "Whole" in 2006, the DVD "the Whole tour" in 2008 and the CD "the Mission Field" in 2009. "the Mission Field" got the best possible reviews from in many swedish newspapers. In 2008 there was also a compilation of Joakim's songs released, with Sarah Kelly (US), German Gospel Choir (D) and others.
