Jim's Big Ego

This is not the official Jim's Big Ego Myspace. That can be found as the fourth friend in the top 24 on this page. This is run by a fan that occasionally talks to Jim when he is not feeling starstruck (and also works for a magazine).During the ravages of puberty that changed my outlook on life as well as tastes in music, a friend directed me to a flash video on Shockwave.com. The name of that video was Stress. The band was Jim's Big Ego. That song (and the image of Jim sitting in a chair) are forever burned in my head, and the band is never going to leave my life.There is no proper way to describe JBE. Each CD has sounded significantly different. You can hear inspirations of folk on one CD, pop on another, and jam band on another. The conclusion is, you are guarenteed to find something to entertain your ears. Another good point is, just about every song Jim's Big Ego has written (a few have been excluded. Fans know what they are) all sound like they could be major radio hits. JBE has been able to craft a sound that is just as accessable as any new schmuck band while maintaining their indie roots, and that deserves respect.Exceprt and preview from "Brut!" magazine (formerly "The Fiend).
