J.Griff

Born to be an emcee some say about J.Griff. Raised in a suburb right outside of Chicago, J.Griff quickly had to adapt to the environment or be a leader and develop his own destiny. Since he was 11 years old he was very influenced by hip hop. At 12 he began writing his first rhymes and began developing his own style. From elementary school on to high school a lot of things changed in his life. He lost his mother and brother in the same year. Totally confused spiritually and had no idea how the Savior of the world impact his life. Making a name for himself on the underground Chicago hip hop scene, J.Griff began to feel like something was missing and his music was lifeless. Years later after a frightening experience of almost losing his wife he was broken by the Lord. Jesus saved his wife and redeemed J.Griff's soul. He couldn't deny what the Lord had done for him. He took a little break from writing to focus more on his relationship with Christ.In the midst of that J was still producing beats and began to get inspired to write again and the first song that was written for his classic debut Window 2 My Mind was Rejoice. Griff is currently is about to release his first mix tape entitled Authentic Rhymes as well as his sophomore album called The Light Source in 2010.
