Jez Lowe

Jez released his first solo album on Fellside Records back in 1980, and rapidly became a popular and much admired singer and songwriter on the UK folk music scene. Throughout the '80's, he toured Europe and the USA with musical partner Jake Walton, and released five albums, including the award-winning duo album with Walton, TWO A ROUE in 1986. In 1990, Jez formed the first of several incarnations of The Bad Pennies, with whom he continues to tour to this day, while always maintaining a solo profile. As a songwriter, Jez is one of the most respected and "covered" artists of his time. Around fifteen albums and countless world tours later, he is currently celebrating 32 years as part of the UK folk family, being heralded as a unique and gifted songwriter with the current BBC Radio Ballads, and will release a compilation CD of "essential" songs later in 2012.
