Jewelz Lopez has one of the leading voices in the broadcast industry today. You can hear her voice from CBS, commercials and cable networks, including the voice Mun2. Her positive spirit on the microphone and unmatched talent led her on the number 1 radio market for over 9 years as a fulltime radio personality on The Beat of New York 103.5 and the MUSIC DIRECTOR and Midday host from 10am-2pm on the original Pulse 87. She has had success on a nationally syndicated radio show, through ABC Radio Networks, as co-host of superstar, multi-platinum Reggaeton leader, Daddy Yankee heard by millions in 34 markets all over the country. The show, an immense hit among the young Latino demographic, and its broadcast attract the biggest corporate sponsors each week in every top market in the country.
Her resume in the field is quite impressive; she worked at NYC's premier dance radio station, WKTU, for over nine years as both an on-air personality, producer and programming assistant. She pumped the music for New York full-time, latenights from 10pm-2am and Sunday mornings from 10am-2pm. As midnight struck, she was the first to play Reggaeton on a mainstream American radio station in the country, known as the Queen Of Reggaeton and Latin House on the Radio . Her proudest moment was recieving an award from the Album Network, an industry trade magazine as the" Program Director of the Year" while she programmed the 1 loudest rock radio station in the country.
Jewelz has also lent her star power to the biggest youth-geared cable channels. She's appeared on MTV's, "VJ for a Day," hosted red carpets for both MTV and VH1's "My Video Music Awards", and even held court with the legendary "material girl" doing backstage broadcasts for Madonna's "Drowned World Tour." She's also had the exhilarating opportunity to introduce the ever-fabulous P-Diddy for a sold-out, Madison Square Garden concert. We could definitely go on and on, but let's leave it at that for now.
She's hosted the television show on CBS called, "La Nueva Estrella," made several appearances on ABC's "Exclusiva," and has done an appearance for WB-11's morning show as a celebrity newscaster. The project boasts an impressive trifecta: an artistic short film starring Jewelz, an exquisite photography book, and a multi-tiered traveling art exhibit and premiered this summer in the HBO International Latino Film Festival.
The coming years are sure to bring even more giant strides and achievements for Jewelz. She has already been named one of the top "Power Players" on the scene by Latina Magazine, she continues to teach in the classrooms of Seton Hall University as an ad-junct professor and you can be sure that more accolades are bound to follow.
