If music tells us a story, then Jenny Slate has got a best seller.

She is a singer/songwriter that has traveled all over the world writing and performing. Her music and lyrics are real and raw, while her voice carries undeniable emotion.

"If there is something worth saying, then the song finds a way."



Jenny Slate was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She grew up in the music business, the daughter of hit producer and manager Johnny Slate. She watched first hand as her parents built an award winning publishing company and management team jet-starting the career's of artists such as Joe Diffie, Tim McGraw, Ty Herndon, Sons Of The Desert, and many more . . . it was inevitable that Jenny would eat, breathe and sleep music. "I remember when I was little, being curled up on a couch in a huge studio in Nashville listening to some of the best players watching the process of making a hit song. the impact that must have had."



Jenny started playing the piano and writing songs at the age of 7. She grew up singing in her church and performing anywhere she could. "As a little child I remember hearing chord progressions in my head all the time, and wanting to make a story out of them." At 17 she signed her first Publishing Deal in Nashville. She kept busy in high school co-writing, recording, and getting cast in numerous professional theatre shows, commercials, and music videos for artist's such as Gretchen Wilson, Big and Rich, Hank Williams Jr., Joe Diffie, Delbert McClinton, and Aaron Tippin.



After graduating, Jenny traveled the world performing . Her talents have taken her all over The States, Europe, Canada, and South America."You never forget the first time you step off that plane onto foreign soil. I was so blown away by the culture and beauty that I never knew existed, you can't grasp that from pictures in a text book, you have to see it with your own eyes" When she's not on the road, she's busy in the studio. She has recorded BGV's for numerous major recording artists as well as demo's for companies such as EMI, Dreamworks, Sony Tree, S1 songs America, Disney and many more.



Jenny appeared on the hit CBS show “Star Search” with Arsenio Hall where she sang her heart out and landed a perfect score. She has also appeared on the CBS program “The Early Show” live from NYC. "There is nothing more thrilling than singing in front of millions of viewers on t.v. I am addicted now, and can't wait to do it again!"



Another passion of Jenny's is writing musicals for teen/youth groups. She has teamed up with other Nashville writer's for the last 3 years on the project "Never The Same" a pop musical that takes a glimpse into the world of teen suicide and the how to deal with the grief. Many other of Jenny's musical's have been performed in numerous churches and community theatre groups.



Jenny also continues to tour around the States with her jazz group "615" They have covered many miles on their bus, and don't plan on taking a break anytime soon. "Our favorite place so far has been Montana. breathtaking views and the audience's are great!" Whenever she is in the place she calls home again, Nashville TN, you can find her sitting at her piano, in a recording session, writing on the row, or performing around town. She has been busy working on her debut album for the last two years, "I have had so much fun on this project, my producer, Jerry Navarro really captured what I wanted- Something that felt real and raw not so computerized as the world has gotten used to lately. music was meant to be natural, and I want people to hear the same thing they hear on my record when they come to my shows!"
