Jenn is from Whithorn in Dumfries and Galloway, and is an outstanding guitarist and vocalist.

In 2000, she moved to Glasgow to study on the BA Applied Music course at Strathclyde University. In her time studying she developed a wide and balanced knowledge of performing, writing, recording and teaching music.

Later, she worked with fiddler Sarah Naylor and together they won a Danny Kyle award at the Celtic Connections festival. In 2003, she began working with fellow course member and Young Scottish Traditional Musician of the Year, Anna Massie. Together with Mairearad Green they formed the Anna Massie Band. The Anna Massie Band performed for a hugely successful six years, in which time they released two albums and performed worldwide including festivals such as Celtic Connections, Celtic Colours and Cambridge Folk Festival. In 2006 they won Best Folk Band at the Scots Trad Music Awards.

Most recently, Jenn has performed with Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain to a sold out Glasgow Royal Concert Hall as part of their St Andrew’s Day Party with the RSNO. She was also a member of the All Star House Band on BBC Scotland’s Hogmanay Live 09. During 2009 she began hosting regular music nights in a restaurant in Glasgow, as a result a group called ‘The Blas Collective’ was formed and in January 2010 recorded six live songs for BBC Radio Scotland’s Travelling Folk programme. She also continues to teach traditional music for a number of different organisations.
