"singer/songwriter jeff gonzales' unique voice, subtly beautiful songs and powerful lyrics were receiving praise by bloggers and music writers soon after he began recording lo-fi versions of his songs in 2005. gonzales' songs range from the bleak, to the heartfelt and humorous, incorporating traditional folk and country with pop and psychedelic rock. his past musical projects include chicago's skybox, and phoenix's loud americans. a phoenix native, he returned to arizona in 2008 after time in chicago and orange county. he was joined in early 2009 by matt banister (also of loud americans), and later by shane kennedy and aaron ott. a studio EP is currently in the works, due to be released spring (2011)."
