Jean Ramsay

Jean Magnus William Ramsay started writing songs in 1994, and performed at various street-corners, open mics and clubs in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1994-98.

Alongside this he studied literature, cultivated an appetite for volk music and whisky, graduated, sold his guitar, moved back to Finland, tried to be a real person for a few years, got bored, bought a new guitar, felt limited, bought a banjo, got engaged, worked in a crummy record shop, got given an accordion, mowed lawns, gained weight, lost direction, drank, separated, found God, lost weight, misplaced God, drank some more, gained weight, kept the homefires burning & learnt how to make a pretty good Laguna cocktail in the process and has the songs to prove it. A former member of the Fabulous Pep Boys (with David Hillary a.k.a Harold Nono, 1996-98), Sakilaiset (1999-2000), Niko Koskinen and the Peace (2001-2004), The Disappointments (2005-2007) and Lockman (2006-2008).

Current member of the SPOONSHINERS (vocal & geetar), TSCHOKKINEN & RAMSAY (other guy) and that mysterious collective known as the Love Death Club. JMWR started performing solo again in 2005. He lives, dysfunctions and works in Helsinki, Finland, and is pretty much open to all kinds of suggestions. Also. I wanted to call myself 'James Blunt Instrument', but they edited my sorry ass.
