Fuel to Fire

Most people who know him simply know him as Josef Adams. A young, confident, handsome young man. A young man who exerts himself at whatever he does, showing signs of leadership and perseverance. Josef has always been the one to start the party, but is also, at times, chill and relaxed. At times he can be the mediator, and at others times, the guilty party. Athletic, funny, easy going, motivated, intelligent. All of these things describe Josef Adams. But to those that know him a bit better than others,he's been called either Joey, or J Dub.



J Dub is the business man. J Dub is the rapper. J Dub is the inner personality of Josef Adams that expresses himself through music, preferebly. J Dub is Josef without the ettiquette, without the think twice notion.J Dub is the all or nothing part of Josef Adams.J Dub is the person that continued to hone his skills when times were the darkest, locking himself in the studio wit a zip of weed and some brown liqour. He is also the part of josef that had the drive to survive at his ugliest hour. From shootouts, to rumbles, being stabbed in the back at 13, arrested on several occasion and jumped on 2 different occasions. J Dub is only what the streets made him, and he plans on sharing his experiences, good and bad, with the world.



Josef began his music career at a very young age. By the age of 6, he was singing in his church's choir. Not long after, he began writing poems in song form during school hours. Everyone in his family seen how bright and talented he was at a very young age, as he was also bringing in better than exceptional grades.



But contrary to how things appear, he led a difficult life. Josef never got a chance to develop a relationship with his father, for he was in and out of jail and/or prison since he was 16. His mother remarried in '89, but tragedy would find his way to this home and take the life of the closest thing Josef had to a father figure.



That didnt end Josef's aspirations. Since the young, fresh age of 12, J Dub has been an aspiring rap artist.He was introduced to the game at a young age, when he would go to various studios in Richmond, Ca with his uncle, brother, and older cousins. It was there he realized that this is what he wanted to do with his life.



As time passed, and J Dub's lost his older brother to the penile system and his uncle to, well, marriage and home life, he was all on his. He j linked up with a couple of childhood friends to form RAU-Raw An Untouchable-when they were only 14 and in middle school.The three of them-J Dub, Shaadie Boy, and Gameboy would go on to write dozens of songs an perfrom them for friens. Unfortunately, none of the groups songs seen wax.



This would mark only a small stepping stone in J Dub's rap career. Not two years later, J Dub would create the label Rapshack Records and link up with inhouse producer Justinkase and then studio owner TYT to form the group BAY-Bay Area Youngstas. The group would go on to release 4 mildly successful albums/mixtapes, featuring appearances by Mistah Fab, Rob E, , Lay Low (RIP), Doo Wop, Shaadie Boy, and many more.



As of now, J Dub is working on various projects, including the Rap Steroids saga and various upcoming solo projects.Also be on the lookout for The Shack Boys, coming to you soon. J Dub continues to build his empire from the ground up, and he shows no signs of slowing dwon in the near future, so be ready.
