JB Saxx

JB aka Jason Brown, has many influences in music R&B, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical and Country, however Gospel is his preeminent influence. What sets him apart from other musicians is the fact that his music has a divine message and story. This self taught musician plays like someone is actually singing through the saxophone.



Feeling the sadness of loosing his father at the young age of 13, he began putting his energies towards music with his mother’s foresight. She bought him a saxophone and the rest is history. JB began playing the sax at church events and his audience was so overwhelmed with his playing that they told his mother to put JB in the studio. At 16 years old JB recorded his first project called "Jason's Beginning"



JB retorts, “I understand how it feels to be a kid with a dream of wanting to do something great. One of my dreams is to inspire other kids, and musicians to go after their dreams.” When I perform, I am in my comfort zone and I always connect with my audience." But, when I’m playing and praising the Lord, well ….there is not greater honor or joy! I will squeeze every last drop of emotion in His name.



Jason has Performed with: Stevie Wonder, Tonex on his Live recording Called "Out the Box" and has Opened for: John Legend, Macy Gray, Debra Cox, Layla Hathaway, Rahsaan Patterson, and Vicky Winans just to name a few.
