Some of the recordings of Duncan's debut album with Ion called "Madre,Protegenos" (2006) took place at Vangelis' personal studio called "Fragile". You can also check his collaboration with the well known composer/musician Michalis Nikoloudis on "Deja vu" (2001). His latest personal project is called " Jazzment Day" featuring Dermot Cassidy {The father of the famous actress Elaine Cassidy ("The Others","The Lost World")} and the two best bass players of Greece Yiotis Kiourtsoglou and Yiorgos Fakanas among many other great musicians.
About "JAZZMENT DAY" Project:
"music.hmmm.what kind of music?".this is what I was thinking right after the second Fragile Vastness album was released in 2005."what kind of music should I write for the third album of F.V.?". I couldn't put myself in a box and write metal, progressive rock, ethnic or jazz music.actually I couldn't write any of the above. From 2005 until 2007 I was making music sounding like the last album of F.V.which was good.but still not the kind of music that would make me feel the adventure, excitement, love, passion, mystery.while we get older and we learn more things, we get more experienced, we see and feel the same things but from a different perspective.Personally I discovered new music worlds that took me somewhere else.somewhere that I can see or feel this adventure, love, passion and mystery from another point of view. So, I woke up one day, I grapped my bass guitar and I started writting music without pressing myself what kind of music should I write.and there it wasJazzment Day. I started calling some of my best friends and musicians to help me make my vision come true. We all enjoyed the recording procedure and I want to believe that all of these people are proud and happy that are part of this project. So.do you really care what kind of music "Jazzment Day" is? Just close your eyes and listen with your heart and mind.listen and feel free by staying away from labeling music.
