Black sees obstacles as challenges and only make him work that much harder. “I get inspired by people who say I am not capable of being successful in life.” Of course, things closer to home also serve as inspiration for Black's conceptually far-reaching music. “My family inspires me because they deserve everything good.” From the comforts of home to the challenges presented by an uncaring world, Black finds the fuel for his amazing hip-hop feats.



Breaking Stereotypes



Black is also out to destroy the traditional stereotypes associated with hip-hop culture. “I am 21 years old, I have never been shot, sold drugs, or been to jail. I want people to realize that you don't have to bust guns or sell drugs or do anything bad at all to be a rapper, just be true to yourself and that is what the fans like, real and honest people.” Black's frankness and honesty are another prime factor in the artistic accomplishment that each of his songs represents. Black doesn't posture or try to be something he's not. He shoots from the hip and his hip-hop is all the richer for it. Writing and recording never stop. Black is laboring over his next mix tape, “That Was Then, This Is Now”, aiming to dish out some more hip-hop talent on the public.
