JKL

Jan Kolias (29th December 1988) was born in Usti nad Labem (North Bohemia) in the Czech republic. His biggest hero is from 1998 german dj & musician Andre Tanneberger (ATB). Jan's music production started in 2001 on amateur synth & sequencer. Nowadays Jan makes own electronic music, some decadent tunes aka La Decadent Voyeur and incidental movie scores for czech movies.



JKL - Why? Jan once, sometimes in 1999, wanted for their musical attempts to invent a nickname. For fun, it created a similar ATB. :) And it remains to this day. JKL but certainly not to be a copy of ATB, the nickname is similar, but the style of music is its own.



Jan deals with a majority of just folding music and see him play as a DJ is very rare 'cause he spends most of his time in the studio. To produce music he uses all modern and necessary equipment.



JKL cooperate with the label Naked records.



What is the last album? 'First Meeting' is a studio album with a new innovative sound. Distributor of the album is Naked Records, and it can be purchased only on beatport. 14 songs of many styles - electronica, trance, ambient, downtempo and breakbeat. All the little alternative. You will find there all the popular songs such as Sorrow, Walking In The Rain and The Morning After. If this album has a great potential depends on your assessment. Certainly this is not normal album full of songs, which can be heard everywhere. JKL tries to make music in the options well. A mainly in the insert his soul.

Who is JKL? He is "normal" guy, that has somewhere deep Greek roots. Honza (domestic form of the name Jan in the Czech Republic) loves modern technology, ATB, Dr. House, outdoor, Myspace, maple syrup, pancakes, pizza, horseradish, ketchup, Kofola, Coca-Cola, spiders (he has two trap-door spiders), cats.
