JAMY PEDRO

Bassiste autodidacte et famille de musiciens. Jamy quitte l'île de la réunion en 93 pour suivre des études à la basse éléctrique au Centre Musical Créatif de Nancy(CMCN) devenu le M.A.I(ou il interviendra régulièrement) et la contrebasse au CNR de cette même ville pendant 2 ans. A joué (enregistré pour certains) avec Meddy Gerville, Fabrice Legros, Ti-Fock Raskaf' et quelques groupes populaires (Naéssayé, Maoul/Apolonia.) ainsi que des formations jazz de l'île de la Réunion; Récemment une belle opportunité s'offre à lui pour jouer 4 concerts avec Hamilton De Holanda dans le carde des "Nuits des Virtuoses", ainsi que l'incontournable, Horacio"El negro" Hernandez et le Maestro Giovanni Hidalgo en Mai 2010 à la Réunion en compagnie du virvoltant et incontournable Meddy Gerville pour 3gigs produit par RUN MANAGEMENT/MUZIK EXPORT. Ainsi que le Chloë quartèt (jazz) , avec Alex Jacquemin et Pierre-Luc Jamain (Sergent Garcia), Jhamp' quintèt (1er lauréat du tremplin jazz de Baume les dames), Kurkutu Bang (Afro/Beat-Burkina Faso), Issa Bagayogo (afro/électro-Mali), Free confit (afro-jazz) de G.Le Billan avec Charlie Davot, Sylvain Courtney, Nicolas Guillemet, TéTé; Tyrone Downie (Original member of the Wailers/reggae); Arte Funk Project (nu-jazz funk) de Michaël Cuvillon, Jean-Marc Robin, Ernie Hammes, Michaël Alizon, Jean-Yves Yung et Shawana; Abdou Day (regassy-Madagascar); Monsif (reggae/raï-Maroc); Modou Samb et Doudou (Afro-Sénégal); Bayal (reggae). ainsi que diverses collaborations tels que JC Wecker (pop/world), Lisa (pop/rock-UK), Paykan (world-Réunion), Safaïn (Raï-Algérie-Maroc), Metzo Djatta (world-Sénégal), Charlie Chopat (chanson française), Martin Lorberg et le Trans'acoustic machines (expérimental), French Kiss (Jazz-France), Gaël et les Tendinites(bossa/world/chansons françaises)le Teranga Orchestra(world/jazz), Fénoamby(Madagascar), Aïssate(Mauritanie). Jamy left Reunion Island in 1993 to study the electric bass at CMCN/MAI (modern school, where he teaches the electric bass sometimes) and double bass at the Conservatory in Nancy-France during a couple of years. He played (and recorded with various people) with Meddy Gerville, Fabrice Legros, Ti Fock, Raskaf' and other popular-music bands (Naéssayé, Maoul/Apolonia…) as well as some jazz bands in Reunion Island. Recently, he had the opportunity to play with Hamilton De Holanda for the "Nuist des virtuoses festivals 2011 and also the great drummers Horacio "El negro" Hernandez and the Maestro Giovanni Hidalgo in 2010 at Reunion Island with his friend Meddy Gerville for 3gigs produced by Run Management/Muzik export.
