James Severy

James recorded and performed under the name James Severy at The Circus-Circus from 2007 until 2009. 2008 saw the release of a 7" record on Art Goes Pop, this consisted of 3 songs all recorded in James' South London flat. A full length album followed towards the end of 2008 on Japanese label Rallye, again James chose to avoid using a professional studio and recorded this at his parents home in Ipswich. As well as touring the UK and Japan, James performed at the Latitude festival in 2007 and recorded a session for Radio 1 at Maida Vale. The Circus-Circus briefly existed as a band consisting of varying members and played the last of only four shows in the summer of 2009. James continues to work on music in various other projects.
