However, over the years most of the sound systems the world over seem to be struggling to remain true to the roots ofreggae music culture and have changed with these trendy times.



This not so with Jah Youth sound system who have maintained that core Roots element of Roots music and reggae culture, and it is probably this that you have found so attractive, inspiring and captivatingly good!



They enjoyed massive success in the 1970's, 80's and 90's and have remained at the top of their game to this present time.



In 1987 Jah Youth sound has a calling to africa.As they headed for kenya it soon became evident they would have to fly in the wole sound system and before long they were plaing all over Africa from Kenya to Zimbabwe to Ghana.



Their success was such that they were called "Roots Ambassadors" a name that has stuck with them ever since.



By 1990 they has toured extensively though out Africa and found themselves in Sierra Leonne touring wit Misty and Roots.



In 1992 when they returned to the U.K it was half the sound that came back.The other half was left with a group of native Kenyn youths, called youth Crew, adopted by Jah Youth during their time there.



The latest Africa tour was in the gambia in december 1999 over the millennium period, due to public demands returned in May 2000.



Their last international tour was in 2004 in East africa (Tanzania) at TANJAM with Misty in the Roots and Luciano.



Jah Youth sound system works spans many areas of the globe and has toured in many European cities such as Austria Germany, Belgium, Holland, France and Italy and sweden
