JAHRED is a young and dynamic singer/performer whose passion in life is to please the audience by means of his soulful and powerful voice. This energetic vocalist is slowly but surely sweeping the world off its feet with his innate charm and superb musical prowess.



THE BEGINNING OF A MUSICAL JOURNEY



As a young boy, JAHRED first got a taste in performing when he sang with the Quiapo Church Choir. Since then, his love for music continued to become evident, even as he migrated to the United States. One time, he was singing at a Batangas Association Dinner in Los Angeles when he was spotted by Carina Afable and asked him to do an opening act for Banig. Soon, he was opening for a wide range of leading acts including Mr. Pure Energy Gary ValencianoOne thing led to another as his musical career began to flourish. At the annual concert of the African community in L.A., he received a standing ovation after his solo performance of a famous gospel song. In 2004, he successfully wowed the crowd when he sang for a full hour at the African-American Multi-cultural Conference, accompanied by the great African pianist, Jeffrey Pearson of J&P Records. Thereafter, Pearson tapped JAHRED to perform for a concert his own rendition of the U.S. National Anthem, Star Spangled Banner. He has sung both the U.S. and Philippine National Anthems in events such as Miss Philippine Press Photography Beauty pageant, the Philippine Independence Day Celebration for LA County, and Celebration Fashion Show.



On top of all his guestings and performances, JAHRED already has one album which was released by Cybertronics Records on September 30, 1999. His debut CD, entitled 2 b w/u, includes a remake of Ben E. King standard Stand By Me which has been tearing up the clubs in Southern California.



MULTI-AWARDED PERFORMER



JAHRED is also one multi-awarded performer. He was a recipient of the Virgo Awards Most Promising Entertainer of 1999. After the release of his first album, he was nominated by Virgo Awards for Entertainer of the Year. Around the same time, he was awarded by the Celebrity Chronicle in Celebrity 2000 as Male Vocalist of the Year. In 2003, he was granted by designer Boy Lizaso the Young Male Achiever/ Entertainer of the Year award. Consequently, he was also chosen to model some of the Filipiniana costumes designed by lizaso.



PROMISING CAREER



Aside from currently gearing up for several performances around Southern California, JAHRED is also pursuing his singing career in his native homeland. In October 2004, he finished recording four songs that will be included in his CD-lite which will be launched as part of his 5-year contract with Viva Records. Armed with his carrier single If By Chance, JAHRED will surely be conquering the local music scene in no time!
