Jacroz was just 5 years old when he sang for the first time in the choir at his family church, but the connection was one he'd never forget.
It was in that moment that the Queensborough native began a love affair with music that has spanned more than three decades.
"When I first sang, I realized this was what I wanted to do and it was an unexplainable, indescribable feeling," he said.
Since then, Jacroz has cemented his place on the musical landscape as an R&B artist with an incomparable voice that carries the sophisticated and jazzy vibe of Maxwell, the sexy, urban flair of Usher and the outside-the-box versatility of Drake.
Jacroz stands out from the crowd as an artist who's talents extend beyond the mic, with a repertoire that includes the roles of producer, songwriter, and sound engineer.
His unique sound has kept him in demand, opening for some of the hottest R&B stars, including Jaheim, Ricky Bell (of New Edition; Bell Biv Devoe), Eve, Faith Evans, Willie Clayton, and Red Bone.
But what also separates Jacroz from the pack is his passion for the people he sings to.
"I always strive to leave the audience with a sense of hope. I want them to know someone cares for them and someone loves them," he said. "I want them to feel amazed by my music and understand I am serious about what I do. I only want to make them feel good and give people a great sound to hear."
And while his passion for his fans defines him, it's his love for his biggest fan that fuels him. "My wife and kids are what motives me. My wife is my number one fan and keeps me inspired."
