prog-punk, coffee-core, bandana-rock… these three met in high school band in 1999, but decided that yell-y music was way cooler. they wear the home of their hearts cape breton on their sleeves and in their pant cuffs, and are adamant about bringing the outside (people or places) onto the stage one night at a time. i was a spy are unashamed music nerds and naïve romantics who think that singing their ideas into a musical, social discourse might actually have some positive effect on the way we all live.
