Marioso cultivated his gift like many other southern R & B greats before him, in the church. Singing in various gospel choirs, Marioso traveled all through high school to local sanctuaries sharing his gift with anyone who would listen. And everyone would. He garnered the coveted position of lead soloist in Voices With Vision, a nine-man gospel ensemble from Gastonia, NC. Marioso also wrote and arranged songs for the group, which quickly gained popularity in the area. His exposure from Voices With Vision led him to work in association with such greats as John P. Kee and Desi Howard.

While currently recording his demo under Super Nova Entertainment, Marioso is collaborating with various artists, such as Overflow, and F. Dux. His debut single, We Can Pretend, was in the top 10 of most requested songs for ten consecutive weeks on the College Radio in the Carolinas. Mariosos follow-up single has recently been added to the rotation. Marioso has performed for thousands in the Charlotte area alone. In the summer of 2005, Marioso headlined at a Cancer benefit, in addition to a sold out crowd in the state of Washingtons largest casino, the Tulalip along with fellow lablemates Overflow and F. Dux. Mariosos life long dreams of song are being realized.
