Alysha Brooke was born in Oakville, Ontario,the second youngest in a family of 7 girls. Her family moved to Rural Ontario at the age of 8 She was very involved in stage performing from a very young age, dancing, acting and modeling from the age of 3. Alysha began singing on stage at the age of 8, and has taken vocal instruction for many years; most currently with Vocal Coach, Sarah Morrison, one of the backstage coaches for Canadian Idol.
At the age of 15, Alysha started to realize that she wanted to do more with her vocal talents, and set about to record the first of her CDs, self financed and producedNuthin But A Chevy. Finally released in 2005 , it became a CD that gained her recognition in Europe, USA, and Canada. The final single released from that CD -"This Time" - reached the top chart spot at The Country Edge, a Toronto based monitored radio station. This CD sold out in 2006.
In 2005, she was signed to a recording contract with Cedar Trail Records, and her second CD, I Talk Country, was released by Cedar Trail Records in 2006. I Talk Country also traveled worldwide in its air play, receiving live airtime in Europe and the USA. Alysha severed ties with Cedar Trail Records, siting Artistic Differences, and went back to working with her band independently, performing more than 40 shows in 2006, at various venues,fairs, rodeos, and events in Southern Ontario.
Over the years, she has performed live in LasVegas, Nashville, New York, and Pennsylvania, USA.
Her music has been reviewed in Canadian Musician Magazine, Country Music News, and a variety of newspapers. She has also appeared and performed live on CHTV Smith & Hayes Show. Her first music video, I Don't Drink, But I'm Gonna Get Drunk Tonight is completed and set to be released in March 2007.
Most currently ( March 2008), one of Alysha's first released singles has been selected out of 46,000 possible songs to be one of 16 songs on a Compliation CD for General Motors in Europe 600,000 copies of the CD will be distributed everywhere except Canada and the USA. The deal, brokered by The Gary Agency is the first of Alysha's songs to be sold.
Alysha recently released Holly's Song' in April 2009, a song written by Alysha Brooke for 1 year old baby, Holly Taylor, who suffers from the rare brain disorder, Schizencephaly. The single,produced by acclaimed New York Producer, Gary LaBarr, was released in support of Toronto Sick Kids Hospital Research for Neurological Birth Defects. Most recently, Alysha finished recording a new single, "Funny Little Smile", recorded at Escarpment Sound in Erin written by Alysha Brooke and produced by Sally Bridgman and Luke Rogerson. This single was recorded for Darling Home for Children ( a respite home in Milton, Ontario, formerly known as Rose Cherry Home for Children) to be used as background for their promotional video, as well as sold as a single to support Darling Home for Children. The single will be released on May 21st at the Fundraiser Dinner at Appleby College in Oakville.
Alysha is currently busy writing new songs for her 3rd CD to be recorded in the fall of 2012. A CD of songs written by Alysha and back to her basics.
Now living on a quiet farm in Claremont , Ontario Alysha is working with animals at Veternary Office, her second love in life.
Currently she is only performing at events for childrens charities, and for events for her Special Friends". However keep checking for performance dates staring in the spring of 2012 when she will be returning to local fairs and rodeos in Ontario.
