Without further delays, ladies and gentlemen we present our bio.

After working for 3 years together as Pirun Kuva, Doug Bjornholm and Jason Knotek joined the Cleveland based band Shenoah for a short time in 2003. While auditioning singer Kara Hill for a spot in Shenoah both Doug and Jason were captivated by her voice. It was decided that the three shared a creative vision of the music they could create together. Without hesitation the group began extensive studio work, pushing the limits of their talents and opening themselves to create a musical style without the limitations of any genre-based music. After 2 years of studies drummer/percussionist Jon Vinson returned from MI in California to complete the group. The end result is what has become In Winter.



In Winter is a representation of what happens when music is created without the guidelines and boundaries. A seamless blend of styles and sounds all tied together to become something completely new. The In Winter is driven by dark electronic soundscapes and intense percussion layered with piano, string, and synth arrangements. It is further defined by guitars that range from driving industrial riffs to acoustic harmonies. It is all tied together by a beautiful and haunting voice and very personal and meaningful lyrical content. In Winter is a band set out to make its mark on the world without compromise or apology, focusing on making music for the sake of music and creative expression.
