Grasshead and The Intellektz:
Grasshead is a solo emcee from Miami/Homestead, Fl., that created a crew named the Intellektz, consisting of artists/musicians from Florida. The Intellektz are a group that have been growing in size since Grasshead started with his first solo project in 2001. Formerly his crew back in Miami, the name "Intellektz" then became the name of not only his new Hip Hop group but also his own independent label/recording studio (Intellekt Records/Int.Inc.). Grasshead released his first solo album (Grasshead presentz My High’z and My Low’z), January 31, 2004, and can be heard and purchased at www.cdbaby.com/Grasshead & everywhere else over the internet (Apple iTunes!!!!!)! Grasshead's next solo project has been split into 2 albums that are dropping consecutively, in 2010. The first of these 2 albums (Grasshead presentz You Live and You Learn the journey continues) is Grasshead's sophmore album. So, remember to be on the look out for this hot project that he's dropping in Fall '08. You can expect this album to consist of Grass' most personal and lyrical music making it a crazy come back after his highly anticipated freshman album (Grasshead presentz My High'z and My Low'z) that was released in '04 and released internationally in '05/'06. The third album (Grasshead presentz Your Money's Worth) will be released in fall '09 and all Grasshead fans can expect to hear a very mature and focused sound on each and every track on this project. While, Grass dedicated his first cd to all of those close to him, from his family to his Intellektz Fam, and the second album to no one but himself, he found that it was only right to release his junior album for all of the real Hip Hop fans out there. Those that have never had a chance to hear an emcee incorporate conscious music, a strong dedication to their community, and an unforgettable street delivery, will finally hear an artist who does so, perfectly, creating a perfect blend of all aspects of his life.
While, Grass did wait a few years until after his graduation from the University of Florida's Sociology program, to release the second and third album, you can expect a crazy amount of music to hit the streets in the months to come. Tracks from both albums are randomly switched up on myspace monthly, so make sure you get to listen to the exclusive tracks before the album drops this year! Many unreleased tracks will be posted throughout the year to give all the fans out there an exclusive look into the new INTELLEKT RECORDS productions. As you can tell, productivity is essential to keep your fans happy, so Grasshead will be keeping it underground for the streets and releasing as much music as possible, not only through solo albums but through his group's album and many other upcoming INT projects that are to come.
