La génesis del Hardcore en la ciudad de Madrid no se puede entender sin nombrar a una banda, Inside Me. Metidos en la pomada desde mediados de los 90 nunca han dejado de luchar, buscando un estilo propio a caballo entre el Metalcore más rabioso (con influencias escandinavas) y el hardcore de toda la vida. Al principio fueron estandarte de lo que dio en llamarse New School Hardcore en la capital y en el resto del país, traían a los escenarios nuevas maneras de entender el Hardcore, reivindicando estilísticamente grupos como Morning Again, Congress, Liar, Darkest Hour o Integrity.
El no encontrar una formación fija hasta 1999 les lastró a la hora de emprender proyectos más ambiciosos que alguna que otra gira estatal, alguna demo, o la inclusión de temas en algún recopilatorio. Aunque fueron tiempos duros, nunca se rindieron y se han pateado la geografía peninsular del uno al otro confín, siendo muy bien acogidos en las ciudades donde, además de Madrid, el hardcore era grande en los primeros años del nuevo siglo, como Barcelona o Málaga.
Precisamente con el nuevo milenio llega la formación más duradera de la banda, formada por xOsox, Justo, Pepo, Luis y Javi. Es a partir de 2001 y hasta 2005 cuando el grupo va a ser más prolífico en lo referente a las grabaciones, ya que durante esos años editan la demo cd "La Ira De Los Vivos" y el miniCD promocional "Lies Are Our Truth" y una cancion en un recopilatorio de la revista Staf Magazine. Por otra parte, los sellos de fuera se fijan en esta rabiosa banda madrileña y los belgas de Wanted Recordings nos editan 4 temas en un cd compartido con los alemanes J'N y los belgas Roll The Dice, en el año 2004.
Entre 2005 y 2006, primera gira europea mediante, la banda sufre importantes cambios ya que por razones personales, tanto el guitarra Pepo, como el batería Javi tienen que abandonar el grupo. No en vano la banda descarga su metalcore, cada vez más oscuro, en escenarios de de Francia, Bélgica y Alemania.
En este momento la prioridad para la banda es encontrar un nuevo batería, búsqueda que les va a ocupar durante un año y medio (parte de 2006 y casi todo 2007) para al final darse cuenta que la mejor respuesta la tenían entre las cuatro paredes de su local, Luis, el hasta ahora bajista, pasaba a las baquetas, con resultados más que notables. Este hecho dejaba un hueco en el bajo, que fue suplido por Rober, ex bajista de Dead End Path. El resto de esos años los dedicaron inevitablemente a "reaprender" y "reconstruir" los temas antiguos, y tras esta actualización, buscaron un guitarrista y apareció Duncan, la última pieza para construir la formación actual de la banda.
Con ese esquema, xOSOx (voces), Justo (Guitarra), Duncan (Guitarra), Rober (Bajo) y Luis (Batería), 2008 es el año en el que Inside Me se dedica a incendiar todo escenario por el que pasa, su propuesta sigue siendo la misma, temas entre el Metal más rabioso y el hardcore de toda la vida y con unas letras de temática oscura pero que siempre deja atisbar un rayo de esperanza, que se plasma a la perfección en su primer CD de verdad "Against Adversity", que van a presentar a lo largo y ancho de la península, actuaciones entre las que destacan su presencia en festivales como Actua Fest (La Pobla del Duc, Valencia), Infame Fest (Murcia), Villacore fest (Asturias).
Ahora la banda acaba de terminar su siguiente CD "Tools Of Fear", con el que pretenden seguir reivindicando una escena que ellos ayudaron a construir y del que han sido parte importante durante ya más de 10 años.
Para ello, están preparando una gira española y europea para presentar su nuevo trabajo, grabado en los estudios Sadman, masterizado en West Westside, NY, y editado por KTC Records & Cruzade Records. "Tools Of Fear" será Inside Me 100%, rabia esperanzada y denuncia de la injusticia en este mundo cada vez más complejo y desolador, lleno de preguntas sin respuesta.
Tools Of Fear, es el regreso de unos pioneros de lo que un día se llamó "Madriz Hardcore" dispuestos a reivindicarse con lo que nunca les faltó, entrega, lucha ,y pasión por lo que hacen.

The beginnings of hardcore in Madrid wouldn't be able to be understood without mentioning one band: Inside Me. On the scene since the mid 90s, they've never stopped fighting, looking for their own style in between the most rabid Metalcore (with Scandinavian influences) and traditional Hardcore. In the beginning they were like a flagship for what would be called New School Hardcore en the Capital and the rest of the country, bringing new ways of understanding Hardcore to the scene, stylistically paying homage to groups like Morning Again, Congress, Liar, Darkest Hour or Integrity.
Not finding a fixed line up till 1999 was a burden while trying to lay down more ambitious projects rather than the odd tour in Spain, demos, or the inclusion of a couple of tracks in a compilation. Although they were hard times, they never gave up and have marched round the Iberian Peninsula within its confines, welcomed in the cities, as well as Madrid, where Hardcore played a big part in the scene at the turn of the century, such as Barcelona, Malaga.
The longest lasting line up arrived timely at the beginning of the new millenium: Oso, Justo, Pepo, Luis and Javi. From 2001 till 2005 was when the group would be at its most prolific as far as recording were concerned: "La Ira De Los Vivos" ("The Rage of the Living"), the promotional miniCD "Lies are our Truth" and a song on a compilation from Staf Magazine. Labels from outside the country are also watching the band, the Belgian label "Wanted Recordings" have produced 4 songs on a compilation with Germans J'N and Roll The Dice from Belgium in 2004.
Between 2005 and 2006, just through their first European tour, the band suffered important changes for personal reasons and both Pepo and drummer Javi had to leave the group. The band pumped out their Metalcore, even darker than before, on stage in France, Belgium and Germany.
At that time the priority for the band lay in finding a new drummer, a search which would last them a year and a half (part of 2006 and most of 2007) to later realise that the best answer lay within the four walls of the practice room - Luis, until then the bassist, moved on to the drums, with more than notable results. This left a hole where there should have been a bassist, filled by Robert, ex-bassist of Dead End Path. The rest of those years was dedicated to relearning and reconstructing the old songs. Then the search for another guitarist, and Duncan appeared.
With the said line up, Oso (vocals), Justo (guitar), Duncan (guitar), Robert (bass), Luis (drums), 2008 would be the year that Inside Me dedicated to burn every stage they found in their path, their purpose never changing, songs ranging from rabid metal to traditional hardcore with dark lyrics from which one can make out a slight ray of hope, which are perfectly expressed on their first proper CD "Against Adversity", which was released all around the peninsula, performing in festivals such as Actua Fest (La Pobla del Duc, Valencia), Infame Fest (Murcia) and Villacore Fest (Asturias)
Now the band have just finished their next CD "Tools of Fear", with which they will reclaim a scene they themselves helped to build and which they've been an important part of for more than 10 years.
To do this, preparations have begun for a Spanish and European tour to present their latest work, recorded in Sadman Studios, mastered in West Westside, NY, and released by KTC Records & Cruzade records. "Tools of Fear" will be 100% Inside Me, fury full of hope and denouncing the injustices of this even more complex and desolate world, full of questions without answers.
"Tools of Fear" is the return of some of the pioneers of what was once called "Madriz Hardcore", willing to claim for themselves what was never really missing - devotion, struggle and passion for what they do.
