"One listen to "Mass Decay" the first release from Canadian metal outfit Infraction's self titled full length debut album and it is clear that

this five piece ensemble are waiting no longer to stake their claim in

the world of heavy. Combining crushing vocals, tecnical riffs, melody,

speed and vicious breakdowns.not to mention a harsh scream or two tossed in and these boys got it covered."

"Perhaps best said by Ubermetal.com's Tyrone Pow " Infraction has given innovation and progression a solid place within their art."

Recorded @ Bedside Studios, engineered by Len Milne and mastered by Scott Pinder @ Polyphonic Mastering Labs.

Watch for the full length release September 29th 2006.

Shining among a hotbed of Winnipeg metal acts, Infraction has already made their name one to watch for. While the bands core members assembled in early 2002 (guitarist Matt, vocalist Jeff , and bassist Ryan ), the lineup lacked a formal drummer until the arrival of Steve. Soon after, they presented the scene with their signature sound and tightly executed stage performances.

Not content to tread in the footsteps of other bands, Infraction has given innovation and progression a solid place within their art. Seamlessly forged by the four-piece ensemble, their aggressive songwriting style is infused with elements of hardcore, metal and thrash.

Having established their seat among other headlining acts, Infraction went to work on their first EP. Professionally recorded at High North Records and released exclusively to their internet fanbase, the offering garnered even more support from fans of their heavy and energetic live shows, as well as present a compelling introduction for those new to the band.

Such efforts couldn't have been better timed. The steady reemergence of metal among mainstream audiences is drawing more eyes toward such talent, and doors continue to open for them. That said, Infraction's existing momentum powerfully suggests that we will be seeing a lot more of them over the next year or two. The band just released it's debut self titled full length recording on September the 29th.
